Emotional Description:

Ysanne takes a sadistic pleasure in other's pain, delighting in taking a person once strong and pushing them to the breaking point. She then either rebuilds them to a way she wants or leaves them as husks, bereft of will or spirit and horribly scarred.

Ysanne is extremely sexy and knows it. She has a talent of making her enemies and prey lust for her at the same time as they loath her.

Her ruthlessness and cruelty are strong. No one knows exactly why Ysanne wants to mold people in such a way, unless it's to take over Pern or something. All they know is, they don't want to get in her way.

Physical Description:

Tall, at 6'2, and slender, pale skinned, large chest and perfectly curved hips, long black hair falling down to below her waist, naturally blood-red lips, and ice-blue eyes, Ysanne makes quite the impression.

She carries herself in a proud yet seductive manner. Her appearance is jawdropping to most males and many females. She accentuates her appearance of being cold and remote.

Her fingers are very long, very slender. They have long nails that Ysanne cultivates. She enjoys raking them down an arm or a back, especially if it causes pain or draws blood.

Brief History:

Ysanne was born at Crom to a drudge and a passing bronzerider. He never looked back. Her mother was with an abusive man who beat her mother in front of Ysanne. (Perhaps it was this that shaped Ysanne into the cruel, manipulative woman of today.)

Ysanne learned early power was achieved through physical domination and sex. Disliking the thought of using only sex as her ticket up, she instead learned from a passing bandit how to inflict pain. By the age of 15 she was sleeping with Crom's Lord Holder, and was pregnant with a son.

Her first opportunity to practice her talents came when the Lady Holder died and she married the Lord. She was given custody of his children. She was a harsh taskmistress and took pleasure in beating the children.

She always noted something different about Corren, so she was harshest to him. She was shocked and angered by his removal to the Harper Hall, and debated revenge on the Harper who let him there, but refrained. Instead she schemed for control of the Hold.

She taught her daughter, her sister, and her niece the ways of the Pernese holdless and how to get assistance from the unsavory in order to accomplish goals. Most of them opted out of her lessons on physical cruelty, though Isarda enjoyed watching.

Eventually she used her connections to get the Hold Heir killed. She then bested Corren in a fight, leaving him badly wounded and herself unscarred.

She schemed with her daughter and her sister and her niece for the next few years for how to get the Hold, racking up allies and connections along the way.

However, she was soon distracted by the realization that the newest Hold, EvenStar, had a minor Hold that might be so much better, and easier to take. It also offered her the
chance to find many more helpers for her plans.
